Feel the rush of speeding racers and hear the roar of the crowd at the Citrus County Speedway. This local track is located in the township of Inverness at the Citrus County Fairgrounds just off Highway 41. The paved, 3/8 mile long track is designed to race various vehicles including carts, super late models, mod mini-stocks, street stocks, hornet division, open wheel modifieds, sportsmens, figure-8s, pure stocks, dwarfs, and mini stocks.
The Citrus County Speedway hosts races every Saturday night at 5pm. The grandstands open at 4pm and the pit gates open at 2pm. Admission is typically about $13 but varies depending on the events being hosted. Passes can also be purchased as annual, family, and for pit access or skyboxes. Various championship and qualifying races are held at the speedway including the South East Champ Kart Series, the 100 Lap late model race, Central Florida Wingless Sprint Car Association races, and the Open Wheel Modified Championship.
